Charlie Johnston loved to watch “Sea Hunt” as a young boy, and always thought it was cool to be able to breathe underwater. Charlie has been a certified open water and commercial diver for nearly 30 years. For over 20 years he’s been a YMCA, CMAS, NAUI, SSI, IANTD, DAN and YMCA Instructor Trainer, certifying over 1,400 diving students and in 2002 was inducted into the Platinum Pro 5000. Charlie has made well over 5,000 dives around the world, specializing in Atlantic and Caribbean dives and Liveaboard dive boats. He’s an accomplished underwater photographer and recognized videographer. He loves to feed the sharks, swim with the whales, and play with the sting rays, and he’ll be glad to teach you how to enjoy diving. Most of all. Liz George
Liz George has been a diver and certified YMCA and SSI dive instructor for over 10 years, with thousands of dives around the world on her dive gauge. She likes stingrays, too, but she really prefers swimming with the dolphins.

Steve and Marca Porter
Steve Porter has been a diving professional since 1986. He is a YMCA Silver Star Instructor, SSI Dive Control Specialist Instructor, ReAct Right First and CPR Instructor, as well as an great travel coordinator. Steve along with his Assistant YMCA instructor and wife, Marca teaches over 14 specialties as well as being an DAN Instructor and Certified Nitrox Blender. Steve and Marca are diving enthusiast and enjoys teaching Open Water course to Instructor level courses at Dive Into Scuba and also enjoys working with all the students toward their specialty goals. His favorite diving is in the Bahamas, because "the water is warm and beautiful and you can do all kinds of diving including wrecks, reefs, wall diving and the best of all... shark diving."
Walter (Wally) Davis
Walter Davis at 78 years young has been diving longer that most of us and is not slowing down. With over 10,000 logged Ocean dives he averages 300 Oceans dives per year. Walter is featured in the book, Diving Pioneers: An Oral History of Diving in America by Eric Hanauer, best described here in Dallas as the “Grand Daddy of YMCA Scuba Instruction” and one of the foremost leaders in exotic dive travel.
Walter has been teaching continuously at the YMCA since 1961 with no known accidents. He is well known for the thorough training students receive and the enviable safety record. Our experienced instructors spend many days in the oceans of the world every year and understand what a student needs to know to be able to dive safely in the ocean. Walter has always excelled at teaching people with phobias. So you have fear of the water for any reason, come talk to us as all phobias are trainable.
